My Story

Jane Hepworth Architects was founded in 2001 as a private practice concentrating on residential new build and extensions in the London area. Since its inception, I have worked on a number of interesting and diverse projects from a dental surgery, retail fitout to small refurbs and high end complete refits in Holland Park. More recently, I have worked with a number of Listed buildings, guiding clients through the complicated planning process, preparing Heritage Statements, and liaising with Historic England.

Having trained at The University of Manchester, The University of Barcelona and The Bartlett, I started my career working on large out-of-town shopping centres, multiplex cinemas and Gatwick Airport South Terminal.

From 1989 to 1990 I lived and worked for a private practice in Singapore. From 2007 to 2015, I set up and ran a construction company, Elfhus Oy, in Helsinki, Finland, specialising in restoration and renovation of traditional wooden villas.

Today Jane Hepworth Architects is a thriving architectural practice with current projects in London, Buckinghamshire and Surrey, Morocco and Helsinki.
